The department of science and Humanities comprising English, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry was started in 1960. Currently, the department has an intake of 540 students with 22 dedicated and qualified faculty members.
The core objectives of the department are to impart students with basic language skills, logical thinking, analytical reasoning and problem solving skills and to equip them with knowledge to meet industrial needs.
Certification refers to the confirmation of certain characteristics of an object, person, or organization. This confirmation is often, but not always, provided by some form of external review, education, assessment, or audit. Accreditation is a specific organization's process of certification.

The core objectives of the department are to impart students with basic language skills, logical thinking, analytical reasoning and problem solving skills and to equip with knowledge to meet industrial needs.
The department has three well established laboratories for English, Physics and Chemistry. It periodically organizes symposiums and workshops.
Faculty , members are drawn from different areas of expertise with a wide range of teaching and research experience and updating their skills by regularly attending conference, seminars and workshops.
Classroom sessions, practical hours and assignments are given as deemed necessary by the instructors.
Our teaching-learning process aims to mould students to flourish in the industry and also motivate them to pursue their higher studies.
Students are encouraged to participate in all the inter-collegiate activities including sports.
