About YRC

YRC wing for students was started in Rajagopal polytechnic college in gudiyattam. N.S.S. a centrally sponsored scheme was introduced in 37 selected universities on 24-09-1969 both "as a measure of Educational Reforms and as a mean to improve the quality of educated man power". It was extended to plus two schools in 1985. The scheme has aroused among the student youth an awareness of the reality of life, a better understanding and appreciation of the problems of the people. It is an attempt in making education relevant to the needs of the society.

Removal and safe disposal of Plastic garbage in the Campus.
Provision & Maintenance of Dust bins for Disposable and Non. Disposable wastes.
Induction of Individual responsibility in reducing the usage of single use plastics through seminorrs & Rallies.
Promotion of the use of the cloth & Jute bags in day to day use.
Declaration of Institutional Camp, as plastic free.

SWACHH BHARAT MISSION ACTIVITIES

Maintaining Cleanliness and around the home, Institution Campus, adopted Villages, Hospitals, railway stations, bus Stand, historic places etc.,
Arranging dust bins in appropriate Locations in the Insitutions.
Organizing events, competitions such as poster making, slogan writing, Public Speaking etc.,
Removal of Garbage & UN-Serviceable items.
Putting up Cleanliness importance sign Boards at Important Places.
Creating Awareness of the importance of personal Hygiene & Proper hand washing.

RED RIBBON CLUB ACTIVITIES

To conduct R.R.C Member Orientation (or) Training Program.
RRC “Celebrating Life” Curriculum importing by resource person.
Inviting Resource Persons HIV the speaker and other resource persons like Gynecologist, dietitian, ART Medical officer, Trans-gender etc., and creating awareness among the Public/ School students.
Conducting Voluntary blood donation Camp Twice in a year is co-ordination with government Blood Bank.
World Blood Donors Day is conducted on every 14th June.
World International youth day is conducted on every 12th August.
National \ Voluntary Blood Donation Day is Conducted on every 1st October.
World Aids Day is conducted on every 1st December.
Exposure visit is arranged our YRC volunteer to visit IC TC, ART, and HIV Community People.
